2013 Year End Giving Update

Most non-profit organizations find themselves in a scramble late in the year to find the funds needed to meet their annual operating expenses. Come fourth quarter of the year, First Choice is typically in the situation where we’re reminded that we are totally at God’s mercy for the support and gifts He provides (a good thing). Our total budget for 2013 was $575,000 and thanks to our army of faithful donors we received over $600,000 allowing us to cover our total expenses for the year (and then some)!
More specifically, there were 36 households that stepped up and gave during the fourth quarter to help us meet our goal. Many of these supporters are monthly givers, which is our greatest need and preferred method of regular giving, and some gave one-time gifts to cap-off their faith-based giving. The size of the gifts ranged from less than $100 to gifts in the many thousands of dollars. We recall how Jesus praised a poor widow who gave just a tiny amount as an offering--but it was all she had. God is not interested in the amount of time or money we give in His service; what He cares about is how selfless and generous we are with the resources we've been given, great or small.

What a blessing all of you are to our ministry and to the women, couples and babies we serve! Through your generous giving we were able to exceed our needed budget for 2013. Thank you for putting us in the best position financially we have ever been in during the month of January as we start off the New Year. Considering that 2013 was the year that we stepped out in faith to acquire and launch the mobile clinic into service, it is truly amazing that God, through you, has continued to provide for us in abundance!
